You all know the traditions of Mardi Gras down in New Orleans. When Mardi Gras rolled around at Summerfield on Thursday, February 23rd, most of those traditions were modified a bit so that all would enjoy the party. We tossed gold coins into fountains, voted for a king and queen, sported some awesome masks, and ate Benyas (a traditional New Orleans mini-pancake).
Every gold coin that makes it into the fountain you get to keep. Some residents became very rich in gold bubblegum coins...
The masks were a hit, everyone wants to hide their identity on Mardi Gras...
And we even crowned a King and Queen... two Queens actually.
Thanks to all who came and especially thanks to Sarah the Intern for a great party!
